The Rubbie Duckie River Race returns to the Blue Ridge BBQ Festival, with ducks racing down the Pacolet River adjacent to the Festival grounds on Saturday, June in the third annual event.
Sponsored by Service Master of Spartanburg and Polk counties, the race is held to benefit Polk County Youth Sports and the Foothills Humane Society.
No ordinary ducks are these - cash prizes await the winner of the event. Total Purse of $1,000! Cool fun for a cool cause - what better way to spend part of a Festival visit than doing some river racing!

The Competition: The race will be held on Saturday, June 11. Top five duckies qualify for prize money. You do not have to be present to win.
Prizes: 1st Place, $500 / 2nd Place, $250 / 3rd Place, 150 / 4th Place, $75 / 5th Place, $50
Proceeds: Proceeds from the Rubber Duckie River Race benefit Polk County Youth Sports and the Foothills Humne society.
Cost: Duckies are $5 each, $20 for a family of 5 Duckies.
Tickets: Pick up your Duckie Tickets in Tryon at Carolina Foothills Chamber of Commerce, Macon Bank in Columbus, or at the Foothills Humane Society.
